This grass is high quality and durable with an overall thickness of 42mm (40mm Pile Height). It is sold by the linear metre of 4m wide. Each unit is 4m wide by 1msq. When you add to basket, 1 unit is 4sq metres. As an example if you require an area of 6m x 4m = 24 square metres you would need to add 6 units to your basket. Why are there different pile heights?

Pile is the term for the upright blades on artificial turf. These can be cut at different heights (e.g. 40-50-60 mm). As standard, 20 mm of free pile height (the part of the synthetic grass fibre that extends above the infill) is calculated.
The pile height is usually dependent on the sub-base. If you are building on stone, you will for example need a longer pile.
