Longer boards mean fewer joins and a cleaner finish. Where possible, choose a length that spans your deck in one run.

How Many Decking Boards Do I Need?

Use our decking calculator to get an estimate from your deck dimensions. As a rough guide, allow around 7 to 8 linear metres of board per square metre of deck at 120mm width with a 5mm gap, plus 5 to 10 percent for cuts and waste.
